This year 4th of July was spent at H's work. This is the first time hes had to work but as Management for his company they were short staffed so he literally had to stand post. It wasn't so bad he worked from 6 to 12 midnight so we were still able to spend most of the morning together and afternoon together.
I really wanted to spend time with him because the two previous days we were both working and we literally had only seen each other for a total of 2 hours in 2 days :( So I tagged along with him to work and we ordered fried chicken the classic "American" picnic dinner and had a picnic at his work.
Luckily for us the offices has umbrellaed picnic tables AND bbq pits! Its actually pretty awesome. We also brought some games and just enjoyed the weather outside. It wasn't our ideal July 4th day but it was a blessing to spend time together. It was perfect!
