Hubby and I spent the better part of last week in Southern California for the Christmas holiday. I drove down on Wednesday and husband flew down Thursday evening. Driving down I decided to caravan with two friends of mine (Becky and Andy) who were also driving to Southern California to visit her family for the holidays. It was a quick drive (as quick as a 6 hour drive can be..lol) but nice to know there was someone on the road with me that I knew. We only stopped once to have an early lunch/late breakfast and to let our puppies run around and go to the bathroom.
One we got to Southern California it was so nice to see my family. My parents mean the world to me and I love that they are always so excited to see me, Henry and their grand-puppy :)
We spent Christmas eve at my grandmother's house with all the cousins, aunts, uncles and family friends. It was a nice time to catch up and really enjoy each others company and just know that God has blessed us with such a great family and support system.
Christmas morning was spent at my parents house drinking mimosas and opening gifts. It was nice, comfortable and mellow! We spent the better part of the afternoon at Henry's sisters house with our nephews eating tamales and just talking. After that we went back to my parents and had an AMAZING Christmas dinner with my parents and aunt and then relaxed the night away full and happy!!!
We drove back on Saturday afternoon. It was a nice time at my parents house and I wouldn't want it any other way!!! On to the new year and guess what!!! My parents are coming up here! Super excited and can't wait to bring in the new year with them and a few friends!
